There has never been a greater need to support our pubs

The Forum of British Pubs has been formed to protect and preserve pubs and the people who run them.

We believe that pubs are valuable small businesses that form part of our national heritage and the beating heart of our communities. We believe they should be appreciated as the valuable resource that they are. Historically, tenants are often unfairly treated by the pub companies they are tied to, and the introduction of the Pubs Code has failed to deliver on its key principles.

For the last three years our parent company, the Forum of Private Business, has been running a“Protect Your Pub” campaign.

With the impact of COVID 19 and the shutdown of hospitality across the country, tenants need our help more than ever which is why we have developed the  campaign into a dedicated business support service.

We campaign for you

We give pub owners a voice in both local & national government and with the big pub companies.

We represent our members with local and national government as well as the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS). We regularly attend meetings with government and have direct contact with ministers. We represent our members with the Pubs Code Adjudicator (PCA), Valuation Office Agency (VOA), planning departments and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS)

We also represent our members with pub landlords. We have contacts within the media who can shout about our campaign and tenants’ difficulties. We already have coverage in The Times, The Daily Mail and BBC news, local press and media.

There is strength in numbers and we speak for hundreds of campaign supporters and tenants. One voice alone may not be heard, but collectively it will.
